Pattern of the day

I walked home today saw these in the window of a fab little shop in my hood. I could not resist them and took them home. Sachet is hanging about my bed and the art block are hanging in my sewing are so I can look up at them and remind myself to keep stylish and keep creating !

craft of the day
I have been doing some quilting and smocking lately and here is what I have done so far.
I always wanted to learn how to smock and here is my 1st attempt. I made a sample of honeycomb smocking (see white fabric) and then the pink piece is actually a detail on a top I'm making so stay tuned for more pictures. I have to say that it's an amazing feeling watching it come to live as you hand sew and manupulate the fabric into amazing patterns. I love smocking !!!

Lilliput Hats Toronto ~ Classic Collection
